Back from Manchester

November 15th, 2008

I got back from Manchester last night. It was a gootmd trip. Had some interesting roles to play which is always good.
I have another full week this week but at least this weekend is free.
I am off to work in Dorsit next week as well as working for the Fire Service and planning six months of work with Sustained Magic, so lots to do. Busy busy busy.

And in different news, the Play In A Week workshop went very well. The show that we put together was ace and everyone from the kids to Erewash Council and the parents were all quite smilie. Well from what I saw, I had to run pretty quick to get a train to London. As I said, always busy busy busy. The social life has taken a beating the last few months.

Oh well work is always fun so I’m happy. More news to come soon.

Ilkeston Ghost Walks End

October 30th, 2008

Well, the ghost walks ended tonight, and as ever we sold out every night. Thanks to everyone who came, it was very nice to hear your comments. I would like to point out by the way that as i made my way to the Play in a Weekworkshop i have been teaching this week the Metro told of how Dear Blighty is actually colder than Moscow this week. I’m rather glad i packed two pairs of thick socks as part of my costume, and rather shocked that so many people came out to see the show - well over 100!

So, there are but two days left of this rather busy month now, the last of these will also be the last day of the Play in a Week workshop and the performance of said play. Lucky for me, Matt of Sustained Magic fame will be there to help. For as the month draws to a close I’m willing to take all the help I can get.

As for the show on Friday I will attempt to use the fancy blogging app on my iPhone over my first weekend out of Derby in a month where i wasn’t playing someone with mental health issues 40 odd times a day. But as for now, i think its bed time. Night all.

Ghost Walks 08

Monday and Wednesday nights are sold out now but lucky you lot, there are still some tickets for Tuesday night!
Well, my tea is here so visit www.sustainedmagic.com for more details.

Radio Derby Interview

October 22nd, 2008

Just a quick bit if news. Tomorrow at 10:45 (ish) Rhiannon and Matt of Sustained Magic fame and I will be interviewed like on BBC Radio Derby about our upcoming projects. Spread the word people, although I currently have a rather blocked up nose and sound quite comic. (Most likely the result of too much work and too little sleep.) You have been warned.

Confused? Worry not.

October 21st, 2008

Well, I have become quite sick of the sight of my old site (no pun intended) and have made the decision to redirect to this fine fine blog instead.

If you would really like to see the old site then have a look at www.oldsite.edkennedy.co.uk but i think we can all agree that the upcoming site will be much sexier.

The reason it is running late (I know you were all wondering) is because this month have been very very busy for me. In fact today is my only day off all month and i have had to do all the paperwork side of life instead of running, jumping and climbing trees. This means I have not had time to pester my web desgining friend, code named PHP.Monkey or sort out some new images for the new website. The life of a jobbing actor, eh?

Whats been keeping me so busy i hear you ask? Well, I was working in Liverpool for the Marie Curie HospiceLast week as well as most weekends down in Oxford. Also working for the Nottingham School Of Nursing and helping co-ordinate a project for a very nice Doctor down south.

Tomorrow i will be once again working for the Fire Service and on Thursday I will be on Radio Derby talking about my work with Sustained Magic Theatre Company and our “back by popular demand” Girl In The Window Ghost Walk

Next week i will be leading the “Play In A Week” Project for Erewash Council and appearing in the Girl In The Window Halloween walk of Ilkeston Town which I am told has already sold out.

There are also plans in the works for an upcoming tour of the midlands with the ever successful Pub Theatre format in which we plan to revive a play i wrote for a past project, Porcelain. So all in all, exciting times.

Moral of the blog? Watch this space!
